John FX Kennedy, Esq.
John Kennedy, Of Counsel to the Firm and a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, concentrates his practice in the area of Personal Injury, general litigation and civil practice matters in both State and Federal Court. He has spent the last 23 years of his legal career working for a private firm and also four different insurance carriers, defending suits where personal injury was alleged. John is currently licensed in New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His experience includes involvement in wrongful death, slip and fall, car accidents, dog bites, assault claims and insurance disputes among other types of claims.
He has tried many cases to jury verdict throughout New Jersey from Bergen County to Ocean County. His extensive jury trial experience was recognized when he became certified, by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, as a civil trial attorney in 2005, a distinguished honour he currently retains in practice.
John’s legal career began with service in the United States Marine Corps. While an active duty Marine, he served in Quantico, Virginia, Newport, Rhode Island, Okinawa, Japan and New River, North Carolina. He served as both a prosecutor and a trial defense counsel at court martial proceedings. In addition, he served as a legal assistance officer. Upon completion of his active duty service in 1993, he returned to his home State of New Jersey and began his civil practice. While practicing in New Jersey he continued serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. His reserve billets included: platoon commander, communications detachment; officer in charge, maintenance detachment, Appellate Defense Counsel, Appellate Government Counsel. In 2007 he completed his service and retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel.
